HUGE picture update.

So remember that post that I wrote forever ago after I got back from Bali and Taiwan? [It was the 6.17.2004 post, if you want to go back and refresh your memory.] Remember how I said I would put up pictures as soon as I got them from various sources? Well, I finally did. So here they are, half a year late. But hey, at least I didn't back down on my promise.

Oh, and I'm sorry if you have dial-up.

And as always, mouse-over for comments.

Bali

Meet the coolest cousin the the history of the universe - Angel. This was taken on the plane ride to Bali. The roads. What's wrong with this picture? We stayed in two different hotels over the 5-day trip. This was our first one's lobby. We went to visit some old temples - this is one of them.I took some pretty pictures of flowers. Actually, I just wanted to show off my mad picture-taking skillz.Nothing interesting to see here... move along.
This is my aunt and her boyfriend - Peter Pan. No, I'm serious. That's really his name.Me and Angel... I'm so shiney, isn't that hot?My cousin is so adorlabe.Everyone passed out in the van. Haha, oh if only I had a Sharpie on me at the time...The hot belly dancer who entertained us while we ate food at a local restaurant. These next few pictures are gonna be of the scenery around the first hotel we stayed at. You can skip them if you get too jealous.
The waves... the good kinds. Not the kind that can wipe out entire villages.Pretty, eh?La la la...My favorite picture taken the entire trip.Me going down the water slide. Go Texax.Me and Angel in the pool. Peace signs are popular.
I like how you can see the sun rays in this one. That temple you see in the very back is a sea-god temple. When we went to the mall, I saw people painting nails for $5. And I thought, why the hell not? So I decided upon the most hideous shade of pink. I was gonna go all out.Close up.My cousin got her hair braided. The back. She ended up taking them out the next day because she got a bad headache from sleeping on the beads.

Taiwan

One of the first nights I got back to Taiwan, I went to a club called Plush with the Brother and Co. Here's Me, Terence, and (a faded) Suzy toasting you all.Like I said, peace signs are cool. Here's me and my brother, drunk, being FOBs. Cause really, what's better than a drunk FOB?Oh I know, drunk FOBs trying to act gangsta. Sigh. We are such losers.Haha, oh Stephanie. Don't you know that underage drinking is bad? *Cough*T is for Tennessee. Tennesseans in Taiwan.Haha my brother is such a tool-rod. But that's why I love him.
I met up with Ruth and Esther, and we went shopping. They have cute stuffed animals.See?Esther was born in the year of the Pig, and I, the Ox. We're clever, eh?Me and my buddy Ronald McDonald.Giant blow-up dolls, er... inflatable figures of graduating students. This was at National Taiwan University (which is like the Harvard of Taiwan). My mom went here.Us being dumb.
Again.Riding bikes is fun. Especially when all you have to do is stand there and let someone else do all the work. The building behind us is the renovated Physical Therapy building (from which my mom graduated).Us out to lunch. I really miss Taiwanese food. These were taken at Shin-men-ding. I probably had the most fun this night when I was in Taiwan. This was at a little ice-cream place - check out my face, yo.Meet Daniel. He likes to make good faces too.
Us outside 7-11 looking at the fun little toys they have.Stephanie and the plastic bubble we had way too much fun with.Aww, the forks have hearts in them.SOUP DUMPLING, I EAT YOU.The ABC tray. Woohoo.Haha. Inside joke.

So that was my summer update. But oh ho, I'm not done. Now it's time for the Thanksgiving/New Years pictures. [Once again, I really apologize if you have dial-up.]

This was taken at The Restaurant over Thankgiving. Me and pretty Esther. Those are eggs. We got bored....Really bored? Heh.Me and Big Steve taking a picture of our reflection in my house. These next ones were taken over New Years Eve. The girls went over to Lane's house for a pot-luck dinner. Funny how we all brought chips and dip. Anyway, here's Rachel, me, Gaby, Nan, and Lane. With Jen. Aww, she looks left out. Haha, Fifth wheel.
Us trying to be ghetto. We're all in college, I swear.Us doing the 'Gaby'. Haha, if you've ever seen a picture of Gaby, you'd know what I'm talking about.Rachel and Lane.Being stupid.Nan and Jen.Aww. Schmoopie.
Gaby, Emily, me, and Emma, and GOOD GOD WHY IS MY HEAD SO BIG. I cry.Everybody. Yay! Molly, we missed you. And to the rest of you ladies, have a great semester, and I'll see you over summer!

Wow, so I think thats enough pictures to last me for the next few months, huh. Enjoy!

Story of the Day:

Today, I needed a new cell phone. Well, not just today so much as I've needed a new phone for the past 3 months. If you hadn't seen just how bad my phone got, then I'm very sorry because you won't be able to point and laugh at my biggest sack of shit phone anymore. But let's just say that the top flap and the bottom flap were held together by a couple wires. It was a pretty sad sight. So sad, in fact, that the nice lady at Sprint laughed when she saw it and proceeded to say, "How on Earth did you do this to your phone?" First, she told me that she can get someone to fix it for me for a mere $20. But as I kept telling her everything else that was wrong with it, (ie: dropped calls, camera doesn't work, misses incoming calls), she became completely exasperated and threw the phone at my face and told me and my piece of crap to get out of her store. Okay, not really. But! She did tell me that she will give me a new phone (same one) for free! How exciting! Granted, they don't sell the model of my phone anymore so they're probably happy to get rid of them, but you won't see me complaining.

I am, however, a little sad because I won't have my pictures or ringers anymore. And I lost my high score in Snood.

Anyway, so how have you all been? I've been pretty busy these past few days, seeing friends before they leave and spending some time with the family. I'm flying back to Austin tomorrow, and to tell you the truth, I'm not looking forward to it at all. I was really ready to go back a week ago, but as my departure date neared, I began to dread going back. I mean, it's nothing against you guys who live there, but I think Nashville is where I'm the happiest. All of my best memories reside here in this city, with these people.
