[Edit]
So far, Karen has the best Boat Party Xanga entry. Go read it.

ASR had their Spring Crush last night. We had another boat party, only this time it was a late-night one.

When we got to the dock and then onto the boat, the full moon was bright and all the stars were out. Vivian - I think I even saw Mini-Me Dipper. Then, we started drinking and eating our ridiculous amounts of pizza while riding through the gorgeous moon-lit lake. It was an absolutely beautiful night.

For about 30 minutes.

First comes the lightening. Which wasn't that bad because it was actually kind of romantic as some would put it. Then comes the wind. Which wasn't that bad either because the breeze felt really nice.

The comes the storm. AND THE HAIL. OH MY GOD THE HAIL.

So picture this: A group of almost 50 people huddled together in the bottom deck of a boat. All of us wearing life jackets, grabbing onto each other for dear life. Bottles, cups, pizza boxes, chairs, and anything else not secured flying out in every direction. Waves of water splahing onto the sides of the boat. All of us getting drenched and pelted with hail... hard. It was like a scene straight out of The Perfect Storm.

Only better because there were drunk sorority girls in it.

But in all seriousness, I've never felt like my life was in actual danger until last night. I seriously was thinking about how long I could hold my breath under water, whose life jacket I would have to steal, whose body I was gonna eat in case we get stranded and how far I would have to swim to shore just in case the boat tipped over.

And of course, the moment we got back to the dock, the storm passed, the rain stopped, and the clouds parted. I think it was God's cruel punishment for us partying on Good Friday. Speaking of which, why is it called Good Friday when Jesus was nailed to a cross and died for all our sins? But I digress...

Thankfully, aside from a few scuffs from the hail, no one fell out or got injured. And I'm really glad that there was no boat tippage. I do feel bad, however, for the people who lost their purses and belongings due to the storm (but at least we're alive, right?). As for me? My purse got soaked and my phone (which was in it) is now broken. So until I get it fixed, you're just gonna have to deal with IMing me. Not that you ever call me anyway. Bitch.

So yeah, what an insane night. I'm glad we all made it out okay. All in all, I've gotta say that it was the best boat party, EVER. There's nothing quite like thinking you're gonna die to end a night.

To the ladies - I love you guys. Seriously.

To Stephanie - it was good to see you again... drunk. I hope you remember seeing me.

And to Daniel - thanks for braving the storm with me. Like you said yourself, ASR parties are, indeed, crazy.

Hi. I have a huge vagina. Nice to meet you.

its tamzilla: well are you having sexual frustrations?
Name Changed to Protect the Innocent Guilty: i would if it wasn't for all of those hookers.
its tamzilla: haha
its tamzilla: figures
NCtPtG: what? i like crusty loose vaginas.
its tamzilla: you like it where you're able to stick both your hands into them
its tamzilla: and then CLAP.
NCtPtG: like yours?
its tamzilla: exactly.
NCtPtG: i crawled all the way in your vagina once. you were asleep.
its tamzilla: oh hrm. didnt feel a thing
NCtPtG: i thought you might wake up, but it's so big that i actually rode my bike around for a while with no problem.
its tamzilla: aw well im glad you had a good time
NCtPtG: yeah. i was going to do jumping jacks, but i got thirsty so i had to go get a drink.
NCtPtG: OF PEE
NCtPtG: ...
NCtPtG: wait.
NCtPtG: nevermind.

And we wonder why we don't have any friends...

It's official. I'm the big 2-0. The most useless age that comes after 19.

But I'm 22 according to my ID and that's all the matters, right?

Anyway, thank you Nisha, Vora, Daniel, Kelli, Andrew, and Julie for taking me out tonight and getting me completely obliterated. Y'all are awesome.

And lots of hugs and kisses to the rest of you who sent me IM's, text messages (even if they're on the wrong day), and phone calls to wish me a Happy Birthday. To feel like I actually have friends for one whole day... it means a lot. Thanks, guys.

I love you.

[Edit]

Round II.

Thank you Kelli, Julie, PHUONG (I loved the surprise), Vivian, Annie, Joy (you're such a bitch for making me think that you got in a car wreck, but I love you anyway), Richard, Michael, Charlie, and Daniel for joining me at our beloved Trudy's and watching me drink my two Mexican Martinis. Thanks for poking my forehead, trying to take pictures, and laughing at me instead of with me. I appreciate it.

And for the rest of you (I don't know if I can name you all) who came to 311 later on in the night, you're thu-per, thanks for asking.

And Joy - thank you SO much for the keg. I still can't belive you actually got me - the one shot wonder - one. You're insane, but I love it. Now we need to have THE SEX.

Once again, thank you all so much for making my 20th memorable. It's been fun.

What? Mid-Spring Break already?

Boo.

So anyway, Vivian and I joined Richard, Ian, and Mike on the lake for a "romantic getaway". We definitely had some good times. Like...

  • Playing Kings again. Damn you guys for making the worst rules.
  • Making Ian be the Queen.
  • Seeing lots of naked, HOT, bodies.
  • Knowing that Mike has a low alcohol tolerance like yours truly.
  • Laying out in not-so-hot weather.
  • Having bonding time with the roommate.
  • Watching Richard and Ian freeze from going out on the jet-skis. Way to go, Vivian.
  • Giving lap dances to "Go DJ".
  • Grilling out and having delicious hamburgers made for us. Thank God for boys.
  • Eating a lot. And then some.
  • Watching love blossom. Haha.
  • Buying my first drink at a restaurant. Mmm, strawberry margaritas.
  • Getting drunk 3 nights in a row.
  • Having my roommate stroke my naked back in bed. MMM SEXY.
  • Being able to spend some long-lost time with my favorite Ian and Richard again. Finally, I was able to go to the lake with you guys.

    And the pictures...

311 rules. Love the face, Vivian.Blurry Ian.That, my friends, is our very own Justin Timberlake.'You look pensive.' 'Damn. I was going for thoughtful.'
Drunken me and drunken Braunstein.Hehe. I <3 Richard.Me and Ian.Mike. Gotta love the hair.

So anyway, my room has been an absolute disaster. I had about a month's worth of laundry, trash, books, and such strewn all over the floor. It was about damn time that I cleaned it all up. It's nice having a clean room again. Now about the rest of the apartment...

    Before.   After.

Oh, want to see want to see what I spent my first two paychecks on? Voila!

    Whee! Pretty.      Hrm. Bye-bye money!

So that's that. No one wanted to get green beer tonight with me for St. Patrick's Day. Good thing there's lots of dirty clothes and dishes to keep me busy. Woohoo!

By the by, are you gonna be here on Saturday, because I'm having a little get-together at our apartment for my big 2-0. You should come and watch me get drunk off two shots...

Oh who am I kidding? One shot.

So. Change of plans. I will not be going to L.A. for Spring break because my manager wasn't able to give me a whole week off. Plus, it'll be really expensive for me to go for just a few days. Boo to that.

To Sivan - I'm so, so, so sorry about this. I feel terrible, but I promise I'll make it up to you this summer.

But, I did manage to get Mon-Wed off next week. So. Party! I'm thinking about going to Six Flags (on Monday, maybe?) in San Antonio, so tell me if you want to go. I want you to be there with me because I love you. And... I'm still open to other plans. Let's play!

GB's are having a house party this Thursday: Get Lucky. Go and get lucky with me :D

    Boing. Boing.

My brother wants me to move in with him next year because he's thinking about buying a newer, bigger house. Problem is, it's going to be far, and I really don't want to commute. What should I do?

    I love this picture:
Haha, Oh Joy and Phuong. Words cannot describe my love for you two.

I stayed up watching The Two Towers and Return of the King with Richard, Ian, and Michael this past weekend. I had forgotten how badass these movies were. And you will never catching me complaining about looking at Aragorn and Legolas for 6 hours straight.

Drop It Like a FOB - Stupidly funny. Thanks, Danny.

You guys don't give me cookies anymore. And that makes me sad. And when I'm sad, I never want to update. Because I feel so unloved. Why do you hate me when I love you so much? I can't take this. It's like a one-way relationship. I just... I can't do this anymore... always expecting you to be there and you're not. You know what? IT'S OVER.

    Wednesday, March 2, 2005

I went to see Varekai tonight with Damon and Vivian, and I was completely blown away. It was well... absolutely incredible. I saw things that I thought would be humanly impossible to do. All in all, it was an amazing and breath-taking show. Thank you Damon and Vivian for coming with me and being the best dressed people there.

So my teeth still hurt a lot. I hate it and I want to die.

Okay, that's a little extreme, but I do wish someone would kick me in the knees so I can focus the pain elsewhere.

I saw Hitch last night with Ian. And uhhh... no. Will Smith should stick to the lame one-liners and big action flicks we're all so used to seeing him in. Anything remotely funny in the movie we've already seen in the previews, and the rest of it just kinda... sucked. Well, it wasn't all terrible, but it wasn't by any means great. Although, I must admit, getting drunk off Benadryl is pretty awesome. Anyway, at least I still had fun with my favorite Ian in the whole world - thank you.

This is the coolest. Damnit VW's - you guys have the best car commercials and my Altima is jealous.

    I don't wanna work tomorrow.

I'm going to go whine about my mouth pains some more now. Goodnight.

    Sunday, February 27, 2005

    Congratulations to Terence and Suzy!!!

Looks like I'm gonna be an aunt. Good thing I love children so much...

    Anyway, congrats, you two. :D

    Thursday, February 24, 2005

My whole mouth hurts. Wahhh. :(

I think my wisdom teeth are coming in.

    My gums hurt. Bad.

It hurts to eat and it hurts to talk.

I had to take out my tongue ring because it kept irritating the roof of my mouth.

    Wah.

    Make it go away.

    I hate teeth.

But I love my new lil sis, Julie. Welcome to the Shih Dynasty! Woo hoo!

Yay! I love you, girl. :D

    Sunday, February 13, 2005

So that last post definitely made it into my top 5 best posts, EVER. Man, I'm awesome.

That Friday night was crazy, indeed. I had a great time out on 6th Street (whoa! I never thought I'd ever say that) with the ladies (minus you, 311). Although being 21 for a night was fun, it came with some repercussions.

Oh like, I don't know. Like, maybe losing my apartment and car keys. AGAIN. Wow, I so totally lose.

Isn't that sad? I have no keys. But thank you, Julie for letting my borrow your spare to our apartment, and HUGE thanks to Phuong for letting me borrow your car for these next few days until I get a new set of keys to my car.

Oh, and I've decided I'm the biggest make-out whore in the history of the universe. But I digress.

So anyway, busy Tammy is back. I have to juggle my time between ASR with work and school. It's actally not that bad. Well, at least that's what I say now. Get back to me in a couple of weeks after I've gouged my eyes out with rusty spoons. But hey, sure beats sad, mopey Tammy-who-never-wants-to-leave-her-room-because-she's-too-busy-wallowing-in-her-own-pool-of-self-pity, right?

    Sign of insanity:
its tamzilla: i speek english very good, ya know
sweet tea addict: asian does not equal english
sweet tea addict: you kids and yoru chicken scratch
sweet tea addict: yoru. that's gotta be asian for something, yeah?
    its tamzilla: yeah i thinkos
its tamzilla: thinkos is asian too
    sweet tea addict: neat
    sweet tea addict: yoru thinkos.
sweet tea addict: what did I just say?
its tamzilla: something about how mussolini came into power
    its tamzilla: wtf
its tamzilla: what is wrong with me molly
    sweet tea addict: hahahahaha
sweet tea addict: you're a tool
sweet tea addict: you dated a tool for so long, that you became one
Oh, AP European History, what have you done?

It's been fun seeing my favorite Ian and Richard again. Just like old times at Dobie. Now all we need is the nympho who lived next to them, Sarah, thirsty Thursdays, and bad cafeteria food and all will be set.

Work is... well, work. Nothing could beat my old job with Grand China where I got paid $8.50 for sitting around while reading Harry Potter. Now, I actually have to, you know, do stuff. But the people I work with definitely make the experience a hell of a lot more enjoyable. We have similar interests and the same sense of humor. So basically, they don't think I'm weird, which is a feat in itself. Plus, it's always great to make fun of customers behind their backs. I've also found out that the mall is quite possibly the worst place to work at for someone who has a impulsive shopping disorder.

Oh, and I'm totally going to be broke this semester. Ah, the perks of being a big sis.

Yes, I'm going to LA for Spring Break. I mean, unless something goes terribly wrong from now until then, I should be going. I am sorry to those I said I'd go to South Padre with, but uhmmm Padre... Malibu... Padre... Malibu... Sorry, Malibu wins, hands down. Besides, I'd be visiting my best friend whom I haven't seen in over a year. But, if all goes to plan, I'll be back in Austin on March 17th, which means that you people need to come back by the 19th. Cause you know... it's a Saturday, and Saturdays... are fun? :D

Tomorrow is eVil-Day. It's gonna suck having to spend it single this year. I'll probably end up wallowing in the fact that I'll never find a good boyfriend ever again, and I'm never going to get married, and I'm going to die a sad, lonely, and miserable old woman. At least I've still got my hot date lined up, so I'm excited. And to the rest of you who have dates as well? Here:

Date - I'll be expecting some herpes, so don't forget to bring them.

Okay that's enough fun for one night. I'm going to pass out now. I shall leave you all with the prettiest picture taken of me this semester.

Haha. I am for sure the hottest ASR girl out there.

    Thursday, February 10, 2005

I think that a bulleted-list of word vomit has been long overdue, don't you?

  • Thanks to all you guys who came out to our party last Friday. You all definitely helped us pack a club.
  • Mmm, IHOP after a night of partying is still as good as I remembered.
  • What is it with guys who play girls and treats them like shit? No good.
  • Wal-Mart will become the death of me, I swear. I go in thinking I only need one thing, but end up leaving with 37. Damn you, WallyWorld. But hey, at least they have cool pinatas:
I can't decide if I like Hello Kitty or SpiderMan better. And... is that supposed to be Scooby?

  • Law & Order: Special Victims Unit is a damn good show. I'm addicted.
  • Work is fun. But I hate kids. Ooooh how I hate them.
  • I spent Fat Tuesday with Phuong, Julie, Richard, and Michael out on 6th Street defending ourselves from flab-nasty men. No, I will not flash you my boobs for one strand of beads, are you kidding? [But thanks to Richard and Ian for giving us tons of beads, even without making us flash you for them.]
  • Congratulations to our new Iota pledge class - Eileen, Julie, Tien, Jody, Erica, Anne, Amanda, and Serena! Make us proud, ladies.
  • Valentine's Day is next Monday. Oh goodie, an annual reminder of my sad and lonely existence. At least I've got a hot date this year. :D
  • Did everyone have a good Chinese New Year? Eat lots? Get money? Vivian's mom came into town and brought us a ton of delicious food. Mmm, yum. I especially liked the note she left me on my dry-erase board:
Haha, this reminds me of when my mom used to always say 'Be careful drive'.

In case you can't read that, it says "Tammy, Tomorrow - Handyman will culking the bathtub. Please unlock the bathroom. He will come 9:30am. Thanks, Mrs. Wu." I just think it's funny because it's written above "Vivian sucked my cock. Julie"
  • No more sagging?? Gee, and I thought Hillsboro was strict about that rule. [Link via Sivan]
  • I've missed eating ridiculous amounts of food with Phuong and then passing out on her futon afterwards. Thanks, Julie and Phuong for making me yummy-yummy food. now, Bitch, make me a sandwich.
  • Thursdays and I have a love/hate relationship. I hate them because I have three shitty shit classes that are 1 1/2 hours each. But I love them because Thursdays are my new Fridays. No class tomorrow. Woop!
  • I'm going to Cirque du Soleil's Varekai when they come to Austin. I'll be in Section Cat 1, so if you're willing to pay $63 bucks to sit by me (which I know you'd want to), let me know. Because hey, if you're gonna see CdS, might as well really see it, right?

Hrm, I could say that I promise I'll update more from now on, but don't count on it.

    [edit]
I have just been informed that today is Danny's birthday. So to my favorite Danny in the whole world - Happy Birthday! I love you like whoa. :D
    [/edit]

My nutrition class is probably the most depressing class I have ever taken. For an hour and a half, this is all I hear:

"Don't eat dry bran because it can cause blockage in your large intestine, and then you can DIE."
"If you don't get enough calcium, you can get osteoporosis, and then you... DIE."
"Make sure you get enough servings of each food group in the food pyramid, because if you dont, you might not get the necessary nutrients, and that means you could DIE."
"I knew this woman who was a diabetic, and she ended up getting gangrene on her foot and they had to amputate that leg. Then, she got another infection on her other foot, so they had to amputate that leg too. Then she DIED 2 years later."

    Uhhh.

So the moral of this story is, "Eat well, stay fit. DIE ANYWAY."

So in other news, I got a job. In the mall.

    AT SPENCER'S.

    Hahahaha. Loser.

Well hey, at least it's not Hot Topic.

So today was my first day working. And the first thing that the manager had me to was pierce the sales supervisor's ear. It was a pretty nice way to break me in, if I do say so myself.

Anyway, it's going to be nice having some extra money in my wallet. Hopefully, I'm not gonna be as broke as I was last semester.

Oh yeah, before I go, ASR is throwing yet another superyduper party this Friday night at Spiro's. Try to make it out if you can. Cause really, what else are you gonna do?

Come out, come out, wherever you are.

    Meet: Sivan.

My best friend, my personal psychiatrist, the love of my life. This girl and I met in 6th grade, and we've been friends ever since. Despite her moving back to California before our freshman year in high school, we've still managed to remain close all these years. Sivan's been there for me through the thick and thin, and has always been able to put up with my insecurities, eccentricities, and my down-right weirdness. We've shared too many memories to count, and I swear I would not have made it this far had it not been for her. You all might want to get to know her well too, because she just may be my future wife. So, on this very special day, I just want to say, thank you, Sivan, for being the best friend anyone could ask for. I love you and I hope you have an awesome 20th birthday. Because hell, you deserve it.

    Happy Birthday, Gorgeous!

    Love you, Sivan!

    Tuesday, January 25, 2005

Momzilla left on Sunday. And I find myself all lonely again.

    I've decided I really need a companion.

Someone to take my mind off things. Someone to make me feel loved, wanted, and needed. Someone I know will always be there for me, to listen to my problems, to lend a shoulder for me to cry on. Someone to keep warm at night.

    I need a cat. Really.

No, but in all seriousness, I am feeling better after spending an awesome few days with my mom. But, I also caught a cold over the weekend, and I'm now the proud owner of a splitting headache and a horrible cough. Oh yes, I'm even that annoying sick girl in class. Sigh. Life works in cruel ways.

Anyway, it's Esther's birthday, so I think it's only fair that I leave you all with this:

    Happy Birthday, Esther!!!

[Edit: Pictures always make things better. :D]

I've been sad. Like, really sad, ever since I got back to Austin.

I have completely lost any desire to go out or to see anyone. All I want to do is stay in my apartment and watch movies [which isn't all that bad, mind you, since I have the whole room to myself now]. But I've become so anti-social. What a loser.

It's gotten so bad that I called my mom, bawling, begging her to come visit me. And she is. This Friday.

    Pathetic, I know.

I so lose at life. Fix me?

But finding neat things on the internet always cheers me up.

The Shocker - Haha. It's genius. [Via Julie]

Sushi Pillow - My birthday's coming up in a few weeks, don't feed me that crap about how you never know what to get me.

The Coolest Calculator on eBay - Check out the description. Did you know that ninjas liked math? [Via Vinh]

And a little comic from me to you:

    ...

Just for the record, love is not giving him most of your French fries. Are you fucking kidding me? Who the hell came up with this horseshit? Why don't you say more honest stuff more like, "Love is putting up with each other's farts and skid marks", or "Love is being able to spend more than 48 hours with each other without the use of a machete", or even "Love is being willing to pick each other's noses and not get grossed out". But if you touch my French fries, I will kill you.

Some ASR girls from UGA and Georgia Tech came here this past weekend. Hurrah! They're nice, they're fun, and they made me laugh. All is well in this world. A few pics:

Big group picture of everyone. I'm hiding my face because its hideousness would have broken the camera. Not really, but I had a bug bite above my lip and it was totally embarassing.Texas/Georgia at Chipotle.Oh, Mike Bui, don't you know it's bad to molest girls?

And I just want to bring this old picture back for kicks.

Yeah, I know the whole MasterCard 'Priceless' thing is played out. But this one was just too good...
