Oops, I did it again.
Yeah. I spent lots of money today on music. Bad Tammy.
But hey, it's for the sake of not getting my ass owned by the RIAA supporting the artists!
The odd array of CD's I purchased:
Dixie Chicks - Home
The Darkness - Permission to Land
Sublime - Greatest Hits
Ben Folds Five - Whatever and Ever Amen
Incubus - Make Yourself
Bob Marley & The Wailers - Legend
I then proceeded to alphabetize all my CD's only to realize what a horrible idea that was. Hrm. Oh well.
[Reminder to self: a 96-pocket CD holder case holder is not made to hold 153. Invest in a new one. Please.]
Good news (not that you care): I went to Carmax today to find out how much it would cost to fix my poor driver-side window (the window motor died at the beginning of this year, and you have no idea how pathetic it is to have to open my door to order something at fast-food restaurants). So anyway, the man kindly informed me that it would cost anywhere from 3 to 4 hundred dollars to replace the motor. But! Because I have this incredible thing called MaxCare, the motor will only cost 25 bucks. I have to drop my car off at 7:45 tomorrow morning and he said it should be fixed by the afternoon. Now I just need to find someone that will go with me and take me home after I drop off my car so I don't have to wait there all day. Any takers? C'mon. I'll even buy you breakfast.
I can't believe I'm leaving for Austin in just 2 days. Am I excited?
Yes to settling into my new apartment.
No to making the 14-hour drive there.
Yes to seeing friends again.
No to leaving the friends here whom no one can replace.
Yes to having stuff to do every single night.
No to school.
It's bittersweet. And I need to pack.
