Happy Halloween!

We had Devon this weekend. Last year, I was unable to spend it with the boys because I flew back to Austin to celebrate Phuong's birthday. It was nice taking Devon out trick-o-treating this time around because it reminded me of my first Halloween here in America. I was dressed as Princess Jasmine from Aladdin, and my brother and his girlfriend/my babysitter took me out. I remember how much fun I had, and how excited I was to get so much FREE candy!

I think Devon had a great time. He dressed up as a skeleton, and I got to paint his face. I painted Jason's face to match his. I drew a funky design and said I was part of Cirque du Soleil or something. Sanket tagged along, even though he was lame and didn't dress up. Jason's mom came over here to pass out candy and she was dressed up as a devil. We first took Devon to East Nashville (where Jason grew up) - the streets were packed with little kids! I had never seen so many trick-o-treaters all at once! After a couple hours there, we drove to where Sanket lives, and did some more trick-o-treating there until it was too late to be out. Devon scored a big bucket of candy which I'm sure would last him through until next Halloween.

When we came home, Jason's mom opened the door and said, "You guys are my FIRST trick-o-treaters!" Haha - I hope this place picks up in the years to come because since these are all town-homes, think about how much candy we could acquire in a small amount of time!

What a wild month it's been. It feels good to get back into the swing of things.

And on a side note, there's two girls sitting at a table next to me at Panera who keep harmonizing in the middle of their studying. Keep it up, ladies!
