Memorial Weekend Recap:

Friday - I unfortunately had to work in the morning, but we were on our way to HOTlanta by around 5pm. We got there around 10, checked into the Hotel (which was bad ass, by the way), and went to eat at Steak & Shake (or is it Shake & Steak? I always get them mixed up). Then we chilled in the hotel room and played RockBand. Our room got bombarded by a sea of red t-shirt wearing ASR girls.

Enjoying some delicious corn on the road trip.

Slappin' da bass, mon.

Saturday - We had plans to go to the Six Flags water park, but the weather did not look permitting whatsoever. We decided to brave it and hit up Six Flags over Georgia anyway. As soon as we walked into the gates, it started POURING. We decided to wait it out, and good thing we did, because a mere 20 minutes later, the clouds parted and it was beautiful. The rides were awesome (much better than the ones at Kentucky Kingdom). Had Korean BBQ for dinner, and chilled in the room for the remainder of the night.

With Porky and Petunia. Notice Jason's subtle hand placement.

These are some of my favorite things...

Sunday - Originally, we had plans to go to the Georgia Aquarium, but you have to buy your tickets 9 days in advance. We went to the World of Coca Cola museum instead and had fun taste testing all the different Coke products from around the world. It was fun, although, I remember it as being much cooler back in the day. We went to Bahama Breeze for dinner.

On the cool couch.

Taste testing.

Monday - Jason and I had my beloved Chipotle for lunch (we don't have those in Nashville), while the girls went to the huge Asian market for more Korean food. We all met up for DELICIOUS shaved ice at Suno afterwards. Then we were on our way home. We stopped by Chattanooga to see the aquarium (hey, had to get our fish fix in there somehow) and ate at Friday's. Made it home in one piece.

OMG SO GOOD.

I got in so much trouble for taking this picture. Hah.

Tuesday - Slept in, went to the pool, then went to dinner with Momzilla at Wild Ginger. I've been there so many times, but the plate of sushi we had that night was definitely the best I've ever had. Yum yum.

My favorite women.

Delicious.

Wednesday - Took the girls on the General Jackson Showboat for their mid-day cruise and buffet. It started raining really hard, but then went away as quickly as it came. The food was okay, but it was still fun nonetheless. We went to Opry Mills to shop for a bit, and then went to Opryland Hotel for a photo op before I had to take them to the airport.

Take a good hard look cause I'm on a fucking boat.

Waterfall in Opryland.

All in all, it was a great weekend. Couldn't have asked for more. :)

Holy crap, I'm engaged!

It's only been about 9 months, but I've felt like this was meant to be from the moment we kissed. I love you, always and forever.

It's hard to believe that just a year ago, I was getting myself into all sorts of shenanigans. I can't be any happier now though.

How he proposed:

My girlfriends, Phuong, Vivian, and Karol, flew into Nashville last night so we can all drive to Atlanta for Memorial Day Weekend/ASR Convention. This afternoon, we started to load up the car. As we were heading to the car, Jason kept telling me to go in front of him (which I thought was weird, since he was carrying my friends' luggage and I walk really slow). He was behind me when we walked down the stairs and I hear him fall... hard. When I turned around, he was on the ground, luggage everywhere, and he was clutching his arm. I began to freak out and kept asking him "Ohmygod are you okay. Are you okay?" And since he was already on his knees, he replied, "I will be as long as you marry me."

Aww. :)

His arm later blew up with tiny bumps all the way up past his elbow from falling into the bush. How romantic!!

Clothes, clothes, everywhere!

I've got so much cleaning to do before the girls get here tomorrow night. I think our room is the messiest it's been in a long time. Where do I start?!

There's a critter that is stuck and/or is living in our chimney. We can hear him scurrying around, and it makes Yoshi go crazy. Sorry to whomever is gonna be sleeping on the couch! Hah!

I should be getting ready for work but I really don't want to get out of bed.

Jason's car is in the shop right now so we're sharing mine. He has to take me to work by 10:30a, but I don't work until 1p. I think I may just have to take a nap in the office. I always take good naps in the office.

I work everyday until next Saturday. This is gonna be a long 9 days.

I'm really excited about seeing my girls from Austin next weekend. We are heading to Atlanta next Friday, and will be staying there over Memorial Day Weekend. It's gonna be an adventure-filled extravaganza!

In other news, I want this!!! First, Lego Star Wars, then Lego Batman, after that, Lego Indiana Jones... it's only appropriate that we get Lego RockBand too, right? Yay!

Our cat, Yoshi, is out of his damn mind. He runs around like crazy, tears up rolls of paper towels, knocks the trash can over, and nips at you if you don't play with him enough. I swear he might be a little bitch dog trapped in a cat's body.

Yesterday, we saw him jump like, two feet into the air to catch a mosquito hawk. He then proceeded to put it in his mouth, spit it out, swat at it with his paws, and just when I said, "I think he just like playing with it, he probably won't eat it," he swallows the whole bug.

Maybe he's beginning to get stir-crazy. He was a stray that was rescued, and now he's cooped up in our apartment. I can't wait until we move into a house with a yard. I just hope Yoshi won't start bringing decapitated birds into the house.

Warning: Do not let his cute little face fool you.
