Funny bumper sticker I saw on the car in front of me as I was driving home:

Please don't lie, cheat, or steal. The government doesn't like competition.

So remember that Kikkoman flash that I had posted here a while back? Now it's even better... cause it has English subtitles! SHOW ME, SHOW YOU!!

Me: Oh my God I think I'm going to cry.
Molly: Out of pure joy?
Me: Yes.

Friday Five:
1. What is your favorite type of literature to read (magazine, newspaper, novels, nonfiction, poetry, etc.)? Me? Read? Huh?

2. What is your favorite novel? Hrm, there's a few... Joy Luck Club, A Clockwork Orange, Slaughterhouse 5, Ender's Game... and I must say that Maus I and II by Art Spiegelman are both incredible. I highly, highly recommend them (though I'm not sure if they would be considered "novels", really).

3. Do you have a favorite poem? (Share it!) My friend, Ari, wrote a poem called "The Beat" and it's amazing. Ask him about it =)

4. What is one thing you've always wanted to read, or wish you had more time to read? All three Lord of the Rings books.

5. What are you currently reading? Just finished Perfume by Patrick Suskind [it's weird, it's good, it's messed up], and Maus I/II. I'm not sure what I'll be reading next... hopefully Fight Club.

I will so Kikko-punch you in the face.

I scored a 71% on the "HoW AzN aRe YoU??" Quizie! What about you? [Warning: Lots of pop-ups]

I'm so AzN that I spell it AzN. n CuZ LyKe DiSh iSh sHo kEwL n LyKe oMg hE isH sHo KyOoT?

[Please, do us all a favor and don't ever type like that unless you want to be shunned by the rest of us AzNs.]

So I was bored the other day and I was messing around with my makeup and different hairstyles and I now know how I'm doing my hair for prom. It's perfect and it goes really well with my dress. It's flattering, really. I never thought that I could get it to look that good with my hair being short and all, but I guess I was wrong... so... here.

Daniel Bedingfield ~ If You're Not the One makes me want to cry every time I hear it... it gets me thinking about stuff and it reflects how I've been feeling recently and it reminds me of how things were, how things are, and how I wish things to be [read the lyrics]. I can't believe a cheesy love song can have such an impact on me and get me all emotional. Bluh. I am such a girl.

Best part though? This song also sounds like it's being sung by a woman.

Tuesday, February 25, 2003

I made my friend the best mix CD, EVER. Here are the songs:

Sir Mix-A-Lot ~ Baby Got Back
Kermit the Frog ~ The Rainbow Connection
2gether ~ Say It, Don't Spray It
Daft Punk ~ Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
La Bouche ~ Be My Lover
Nikka Costa ~ Everybody Got Their Something
ULU ~ Super Mario Brother theme song
NKOTB ~ Step by Step
The Camel Toe Song
Devo ~ Whip It
Ace of Base ~ Don't Turn Around
Vanilla Ice -~ Ice Ice Baby
Justin Timberlake ~ Rock Your Body
Paula Abdul ~ Cold Hearted Snake
EMF ~ You're Unbelievable
Trina feat Ludacris ~ B R Right
MC Hammer ~ Can't Touch This

And to top off this lovely myriad of music from various genres....
South Park ~ Uncle Fucka

Now don't you all wish you had friends who have great taste in music like myself?

The Snow Gods have responded and they decided that they are going to be generous with the snow this year. All the snow dances I've made have finally paid off....

Ahh. Tis a good year to be a senior.

Most depressing story, ever. [Don't look at it if you don't want to be highly disturbed...] Someone sent me that last night and it pretty much ruined my weekend. I would not want to live if something like that happened to me. Makes me realize how much I take for granted, and how lucky I am to be the way I am right now. *Sigh*

I put my old computer speakers back and got rid of the crappy crap speakers that came with this crappy crap computer. It has really great bass... So, now maybe I can start annoying the guy who live below us and start shaking his floors. Biatch!

Tammy is tired. I vote that we have another snow day tomorrow.

Sunday, February 23, 2003

It's that time of month again when I wish that someone would take a giant machete and drive it right into my face. Bluh.

Saturday, February 22, 2003

How is it snowing when it was 65 degrees this morning? This has really got to stop.

Anyway, I just got home... went to see Old School with a couple of friends after work tonight. Stupid yet really funny movie. A fight almost broke up behind us. Here's how it went:

"Hey, can you shut the fuck up? We're trying to watch a movie here."
"Hey, why don't you shut the fuck up. We're not doing anything."
"You're being so fucking loud!"
"Shut the fuck up."
"No, you shut the fuck up."
"No, you shut the fuck up, I will kick your ass."
"I'll kick your ass."

I love people sometimes.

Friday Five

1. What is your most prized material possession? My down blanket.

2. What item, that you currently own, have you had the longest? A t-shirt that my mom got for herself when I was only a couple months old. She got me one too but one of my teddybears wears it now.

3. Are you a packrat? Maybe?

4. Do you prefer a spic-and-span clean house? Or is some clutter necessary to avoid the appearance of a museum? Clutter! And lots of it! Messy room = creative. ^_~

5. Do the rooms in your house have a theme? Or is it a mixture of knick-knacks here and there? No themes, lots of knick-knacks.

I'm off to bed. And remember kids, driving home in the pouring rain at 2 in the morning on unfamiliar roads all alone while your cell phone is dead is not fun. Thank God I'm still alive.

Thursday, February 20, 2003

Me: *Sigh* I love Sparknotes. Where would I be without them?
Friend: 9th grade.

Molly: Tammy stinks, but only because she is wearing her new Ari perfume.

Also from Molly: I vote that schools should close on account of the threat of war.

I helped out with 8th grade tours today. I wanted to terrorize them all so that none of them would ever want to come to our school. But I decided against it. It went pretty well considering the fact that I could tell that none of them were interested in the least bit.
"Um... here's the... math room. Look! Those are *real* high school students. Doing *real* math work. Isn't that fun? High school is the greatest."

"Hey uh... Tammy? Were we ever that dumb when we were in 8th grade?"
"Yes."

Just for the record, I really like the new Justin Timberlake video. Yeah yeah, it's a guilty pleasure. What? I can't help it! He's cute!

Wednesday, February 19, 2003

I impress me. I just woke up from a nap that I started taking a little after 3. Mmm.

Greedy time! CDs Tammy wants but can't afford right now (yes, sad, I know)... Oh, and I really need to stop buring all my CDs too.

Aaliyah - I Care 4 U
Justin Timberlake - Justified
Dixie Chicks - Home
The Vines - Highly Evolved
Missy - Underconstruction
Coldplay - Parachutes
Incubus - Make Yourself
Elvis - 30 #1 Hits (Siv, you convinced me...)
White Stripes - White Blood Cells
Nappy Roots - Watermelon, Chicken & Gritz
Norah Jones - Come Away with Me
Radiohead - OK Computer
Nickel Creek - This Side
Utada Hikaru - First Love
A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms
Ben Harper - Live from Mars
Beck - Odelay
Nelly - Nellyville (Hey, I gotta get my booty music in somewhere.)
Jack Johnson - Brushfire Fairytales
Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes
The Strokes - Is This It
The Hives - Veni, Vidi, Vicious

Yay fun CDs!!!

Oh, and on a more serious note: the pointlessness of war.

*mew*

Which fuzzy creature are you?

I told you I was a kitty. =)

Just got in. I went to a friend's house tonight and spent a good 4 hours doing absolutely nothing. We played old Nintendo games on X-box (worst controller, ever) and us girls wrestled quite a bit while the boys sat there with scared looks on their faces. Or maybe it was entertained faces, I couldn't tell. ^_~ I am going to be so bruised tomorrow because I'm delicate like a little flower. Hold me?

It's getting crappy cold again. Hate it... I couldn't open my car door tonight because it was frozen shut and I had to get a complete stranger guy to open it for me. Isn't that sad? I am pathetic.

Michael Jackson is by far one of the creepiest things on the face of this planet. Anybody watch that documentary on him on VH1? He scares me to no end. However, I must say that my favorite part of that whole show was when he talks about giving the kids he shares his room with warm milk and cookies...

And to top off this night, I leave you all with some Nature Sex. It's like pornography, only not.

Sunday, February 16, 2003

Engrish at home:

Tammy,
There are two McDonald Hamberger in the Freeze's door area. Please Microwave them before eat.
Have a good day
Miss you!
Mom

I love this woman. =)

In exactly one month, I will be laying out on the beach in Florida for spring break. One. More. Month.

So how was everyone's Valentine's Day? Did it suck royal ass? Really? Mine, too...

The weather was absolutely atrocious. It was just one of those really rainy and shitty days where you just don't want to get out of bed or do anything. Just want to lay there and sulk about how crappy the day is.

School sucked. I think I've seen enough flowers and hearts and red and pink to last me for the rest of my life. I did, however, get an Aaron Carter Valentine. And he's so dreamy...

Work was awful. [Remind me never to dress up nice for it ever again.] My day was already going not-so-well, and having customers yell at me for things that aren't my fault didn't help at all. I was about to have an emotional break down right then and there but I controlled myself. Cause I'm the control masta... or something.

I almost killed myself driving to Heather's house as well. Some asswipe who was driving in front of me braked really suddenly and really quickly, causing me to do the same thing. But my car started swerving and an oncoming car almost hit me. I'm just glad that it didn't happen during the day when there were a lot of cars around. Kinda scary though. I'm glad I didn't die. That would have made my day even worse.

I hung out with a bunch of girls later that night though and we had a lot of fun bashing boys and punching each other and watching season 2 of Jackass. So V-day ended nicely. Thank goodness for friends...

Friday Five:
1. Explain why you started to journal/blog. Because I was bored and I like typing better than writing. Plus, I wanted to share with the whole world how pathetic my little life is. Yay!

2. Do people you interact with day to day or family members know about your journal/blog? Why or why not? My friends do... keeps them posted about me, and sometimes I talk about them. And my family doesn't, thankfully.

3. Do you have a theme for your journal/blog? Um. No.

4. What direction would you like to have your journal/blog go in over the next year? Um.... forward then a left at the light.

5. Pimp five of your favorite journals/blogs. I don't think I should have to answer this question because it uses "pimp" as a verb and it doens't relate to hookers. Plus, I have no idea which are my favorite. They all suck. You decide. [Though I must say my January 18th post about me with a gold grill was a definite hit with the guys...]

Thursday, February 13, 2003

I found out as I was proof-reading one of my European History papers on drugs and narcotics in 19th century Europe that I spelled "heroin" as "heroine". Every single time. [Do realize that I wrote a good page and half about the history of "Heroine". Oh, and also realize that I've already turned in this paper for class. I had to turn it in again for another subject...] I'm so fucking awesome.

Tuesday, February 11, 2003

I have a huge zip zit right smack in the middle of my forehead. It is very unattractive. Please make it go away.

Monday, February 10, 2003

A post about penises (to make up for my lack of one)...

Did you know that it would take 2,261,570,588 penises placed end to end to reach the moon (assuming that each one was 17 cm long)?

Lingam Gnosis: What type of penis do you have? Hmm... I don't think I can look at the natural elements the same way again, ever...

Oh, and remember how I was whining about someone getting me a bellybutton ring? Well I found the perfect one. I can't even begin to tell you how hot I would look with that thing in my stomach. It even moves.

Hey, it's late and I'm tired okay? That give me perfectly good reasoning to look at stuff about male genitalia.

Sunday, February 9, 2003

Yay! Letters!!!

Number 1:

Number 2:

Number 3:

So which letters are you?

Saturday, February 8, 2003

Uh oh! Tammy's hair's all gone!!! Lookit!

It was weird looking down at the floor after she was finished and seeing all of the hair she cut... *Sniff* Separation anxiety...

1. What did you have for breakfast this morning? If you didn't have breakfast, why not? No breakfast... Woke up too late to get anything to eat. My "breakfast" was at 3 in the afternoon at Wendy's.

2. What's your favorite cereal? Honey Nut Cheerio's and Corn Pops.

3. How often do you eat out? Do you want that to change? I go out to eat lunch at least 2-3 at school. It'd be great if lunch was free... but I'd much rather spend a couple bucks more outside than eating that stuff they call 'food" in the school cafeteria. That stuff contains unknown diseases.

4. What do you plan on having for dinner tonight? Got a recipe for that? I had dinner at the restaurant since it was free. Yummy, too. And no, I do not have a recipe for that.

5. What's your favorite restaurant? Why? I have so many... And I can't really choose just one, so I'll put them into [random] categories:
Japanese: Benkay - best sushi.
Italian: Carrabba's - just... best Italian food... ever.
Cheeseburgers: Fat Mo's
Fast Food: Jersey Mike's - best subs
Smooties: Smooth Moves - Orange Zip smoothie and a Club wrap is the way to go (it was a sad day for us all when we found out they moved out of the Green Hills area.)
Mexican: El Palenque - their Chimichangas are to die for
Bagels: Alpine - mmm... Pedro Gonzalez... Hoss Cartright
Southern food: Loveless Hotel - ...biscuits...
Coffee: Fido's - their Pink Poodle is really good but *really* sweet... you'll probably pass out from a sugar overdose
Shakes: Sonic - their Peanut Butter Fudge shakes are incredible
Cheesecakes: Tennessee Cheesecake Factory - really expensive, but really worth it
Pizza - Schlotzsky's Deli

So umm... If you ever uhh... wanna like, take me out to eat... You know where to go ^_~

Before I go to sleep...

Which "Saved By The Bell" Character Are You?

Hrm. Now maybe in a couple of years I will lose all my dignity and self-appreciation and become a famous stripper in Las Vegas. Eh? Eh?

Thursday, February 6, 2003

We had another snow day today. I woke up at 6:30, took a shower, got dressed and ready, because I thought that there was no way we'd get out of school since there was no snow outside. But, that *tiny* little glimmer of hope told me to check newschannel5.com. And lo and behold, Metro Davidson Nashville was out. I then crawled back into bed and slept until 11:30. So, that makes 5. Hurray! I'm not exactly sure why we got out because it didn't start snowing until almost 5 in the afternoon... But oh well, I really can't complain. Helloooooo 4 day weekend.

So there was a shooting at my school tonight at a basketball game while I was at work. Well, not really a *shooting* but some jackass from the other school brought a gun and accidentally shot himself in the foot. Ooh the insanity. I'm just glad no one else got hurt and that everyone's okay.

Umm... Oh so I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow if my appointment doesn't get postponed again. I hope that it'll turn out okay, since I'm kinda nervous about cutting a year and a half's worth of hair in one sitting. >_<

Anyway I'm going to bed early since I stayed up last night working on a paper until 4 in the morning. And of course, schools didn't get out until 5:30ish. So... good night to all.

"Hey Davey, can you move down a little bit? I can't see the TV."
"Oh, that's just his ego that's in your way..."

Monday, February 3, 2003

For those of you who ever questioned just how I got to be so nerdy, I blame it on genetics.

Want proof? Go here.

My brother has successfully passed the DorkGene on to me and I now suffer every day because of it.

I'm so hungry I've resorted to eating raisins and instant noodles. Hey, I think I would fit into the college life quite nicely...

This past weekend was fun even though I swear the CNY celebration gets worst every year. [Remember folks: a synthesizer, mandolin, and electric drums do not go well together.] NN and I went to a concert out in Murfressboro after the celebration and the bands that played were pretty good. I really liked the one who sounded like Radiohead. Good stuff, despite the fact that we reeked of smoke all night until we got home after 1.

I'm exhausted. Tammy and Mondays don't get along well at all. Someone kick me in the head so I don't have to go to school tomorrow. Please? I'll give you a dollar.

*Sigh* I have lots of homework to do. So I shall talk to you kids later. And remember, 34 + 5 does not equal 40.

Friday Five... [Just pretend today is still Friday.]

1. As a child, who was your favorite superhero/heroine? Why? I don't think I was really into superheroes, but I really really liked Sailormoon. She had cool meatball hair. Then I started watching Spawn a lot and I liked watching that even though I had no idea what was going on.

2. What was one thing you always wanted as a child but never got? A puppy. Well, I had one for a couple of months but then I had to move to the States and leave him behind =(

3. What's the furthest from home you've been? Well if I consider Nashville home, then I'd have to say Taiwan, even though that's kinda a home for me too...

4. What's one thing you've always wanted to learn but haven't yet? How to play guitar and drums.

5. What are your plans for the weekend? Today was my mommy's birthday. Say Happy Birthday, Mommy! Anyway, she went out with her friends tonight, and I went out with mine. Well, I had work but people came to visit me, [thanks, friends] and then I went to watch a movie and just got home about 20 minutes ago. Tomorrow, I get to wake up bright and early to go to an ACLU conference for extra credit (yeah, yeah I'm a nerd shut up). Oh and tomorrow (by tomorrow, I mean, today) is Chinese New Year! So... for anyone Chinese or *looks* Chinesey (*ahem* Molly), HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR. It's the year of the Ram... or Sheep... or Goat... or what ever you want to call those things.

Tammy going to bed now. And this will be the first time all week that I've gone to bed before 2 am. Hurray for me!
