Jason has a crazy stalker ex-girlfriend who literally tries to read my blog and Facebook on a regular basis. That's why I have them both on private.

She claims that we have a mutual friend on FB, and I believe her (I mean, how else could she have known about the Tiffany's necklace Jason got me for my birthday?) Right now, we are trying to find out who this so-called "friend" of mine is.

We broke all 800+ (this is probably the only time in my life where I think that's too many) of my friends on Facebook into groups, and we are changing my private settings so that only one group at a time can see my status updates. Then, we are putting things up like "Jason is taking me to Hawaii again!!!" to get a rise out of her. We can then narrow the groups down to find the single culprit behind all this. Sounds like a lot of work, but I'm determined to find out who it could be.

So... if you see my status and it says something crazy, don't mind it (and please don't say anything about it).

And if our "mutual friend" turns out to be you, I'm gonna fight you so hard.

Prom Pictures!!!

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Last night at 2am, Jason and I woke up to a large crashing sound coming from the apartment below us... only to be followed by a girl screaming, "Please don't hurt me, please don't hurt me!"

We called the cops. Only one squad car came at first but a few minutes later, 3 more cops, a fire truck, and the EMS truck all arrived.

I was a total creeper and I stood by the window to try and listen to what they were saying... couldn't hear much though. About 30 minutes later, all the cars left, and it seemed like no arrests were made.

Which makes me wonder... what the HELL happened last night? We live above crazy people!

I have today off after a long weekend and I'm gonna go prom dress shopping!

Oh yes... I'm 24 and I'm going to prom.

(Okay, it's not what you think - I'm not committing statutory rape - I'm going with Jason, who's a teacher at a high school.)

Funny thing is, 8 years ago, I already went to prom once with Jason. Only then, we were with different people. I went with the first guy I ever fell in love with, and he was with a girl whom he married later on. Weird how things can change in a few years.

Anyway... We want to go all out this time around. We joke and say this is how it should have been when when we were in high school -it should have been us together all along.

I'm really excited. Pictures up later!

We told Jason's parents that we planned on getting married!

And my mom already knows... so next stop: engagement.

Last summer, Phuong and I spent literally 8 hours one day on YouTube watching Japanese game shows. I almost peed myself watching a few clips because they were so funny.

Last night, I shared this precious gem known as Gaki No Tsukai to Jason. We almost died watching this one:

(3:42, 5:32, and 6:48 are the best)

If you have some time to kill, look up more Silent Library, No Laugh High School, and of course, the Marshmallow Eating Game. Just be careful, you'll be tempted to look at all the related videos, and before you know it, YouTube has sucked half your day away.

I'm gonna make a delicious Cobb salad tonight. Emphasis on the Cobb.

*UPDATE: Turned out pretty damn good.*

Annnnd.... here's to hoping I don't get fired today.

*UPDATE: Nope. Still have a job. Don't know if I should be elated though...*

Happy Easter, everyone!

Now, go celebrate by following one of these traditions from another country....

(Phoung, I *know* you'd like the first one.)

Texas lawmaker suggest Asians adopt easier names.

Really, Texas? REALLY???

Well. Lucky for you, "Anderson" is *much* more readily dealt with than "Cheng" ever could be.

I am supposed to be making fried rice (stereotypical, right?) for Jason's 5th period class today, but it's really hard for me to get out of bed. So. Comfy....

*UPDATE: Finished making 2 batches. The rice wasn't hard enough yet so it turned out a little mushy. That sounds gross but it still tastes pretty good, I promise. Next up: Baking cupcakes for Devon's pre-school. I'm fucking Susie Homemaker, bitches!*

Jason got me tickets to see Cirque du Soleil: Saltimbanco for Easter this Sunday. I'm really excited.

About 3 years ago, I went with Vivian and Damon to see Varekai in Austin. I was completely blown away by the amazing talent and surreal performances.

One of these days, I'm going to travel the US and world (okay... maybe just to Brazil and Canada) and see all of the Cirque du Soleil shows. Except for that one with Criss Angel in it. He's probably on my top 5 list of Celebrity Douche Bags. Besides, I've already seen plenty of over-accessorized men in my partying days at Rain.

It was beautiful and 70 degrees yesterday. Now, there's a chance of snow in the forecast.

I hate you, Nashville weather.

Saturday, April 4, 2009

I had mentioned that I wanted to see Star Trek, when the previews first came out. I like J.J. Abrams. I like Sylar, and Shaun, and of course, I like Harold.

And now, as my punishment, Jason is making me watch Star Trek 1-74 before we go watch the movie.

Sigh. That's what I get for being/dating a nerd.

No April Fool's joke was pulled on me yesterday, thankfully... but this was probably the funniest thing I saw:

Screw RockBand... I want to be an Alpine Legend.

I had a conference call with the rest of my district this morning at 8am. It was about "Juicy Math".

The breakdown is this:

Find your "Juicyest" hours in the day (basically the hours with the most potential to sell, not just the hours with the most foot traffic), and find ways to maximize your profits. They want us to increase our transactions through ADT and conversion, and to make most of our plan in just those few hours.

Our "Juicyest" hours are 12p-2p and 3p-5p. They want us to be fully staffed during these hours, and make sure that NO ONE is doing any tasking. They want us to sell and engage ALL customers in hopes of upping our number of transactions.

I get why they're doing this, but at the same time, I think it's really stupid. One of the other managers on the call said, "Well, shouldn't EVERY hour be your Juicyest hour?" Why do we need to designate a few hours of our day to really focus on the client... shouldn't we be doing that anyway, no matter what time it is? Why are certain hours of the day more important than others?

Yesterday, for instance - we were completely DEAD during our "Juicyest" hours - thankfully, I was still able to get a few customers to make purchases, but it was still no where near our plan. But between 5p-6p, we did over $1000. Obviously, the "Juicyest" hours are going to vary from day to day. Also, it would be a complete waste of payroll to have our stock associates out on the floor, selling to the few customers that walk in our doors, when they have 60 boxes to process, or a 500 unit transfer to complete. I just think this whole concept is ridiculous.

I love the store I work for - but sometimes, I think I'm definitely ready for something new. Somewhere without absurd lingo and unreal expectations.

I can't wait to open my own store.
